Analemma is partnering with two amazing Gorge Artists, offering Plein Air Art classes that settle you into nature and explore your inner creativity. Featuring a Plein Air en Oil Painting Class and Nature Journaling Watercolor Workshop, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to paint on the Estate.

Oil Painting en Plein Air with Brooke Walker-Knoblich
Sunday, August 10th

Led by Portland Artist and Instructor, Brooke Walker-Knoblich, you’ll spend the morning being led in a fully immersive Plein Air oil painting course on our stunning Hillside Terrace. Brooke will lead you with thoughtful demonstrations and guidance of materials and inspire you to create a masterpiece of the nature and beauty around you.

Course Cost is $80 with an applicable discount for our Coterie Members upon booking! This 3-hour course is instructor lead and includes easels, palettes, paints, brushes and canvases and is perfect for all skill levels. Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they wish. The course will go through materials & composition, alongside a demonstration before beginning your own works of art. A complimentary glass of wine will be included in the class as well!

Class is limited to 12. Guests attending the Oil Painting en Plein Air Class should bring an apron, hat, bag, sunglasses, sunscreen, light snack and plenty of water!

Nature Journaling Watercolor Workshop with Nicole Keane
Sunday, August 24th

Led by Local Artist & Owner of Gratitude Healing Arts, Nicole Keane, you’ll take a guided stroll through the property, taking in the beauty and landscape of Mosier and gathering impressions for the later half of the class. You’ll then venture to the Hillside Terrace to watercolor, pulling inspiration from your journey on the land. Nicole will guide you in creating art inspired by place, giving you full creative expression during your course.

Course Cost is $60 with an applicable discount for our Coterie Members upon booking! This 3-hour course is instructor-lead and includes paints, palettes, paper, brushes and other additional supplies and is perfect for all skill levels. Artists are encouraged to bring their own supplies or journal if they wish. The course will begin with a walk through the Estate, alongside a guided underpainting and composition before beginning your own works of art. A complimentary glass of wine will be included in the class as well!

Class is limited to 20. Guests attending the Nature Journaling Watercolor Workshop should bring a hat, bag, sunglasses, sunscreen, light snack and plenty of water!

At the end of the course, we will hold a Artist Reception in the Cellar of Nicole’s Art for sale.
